Founder

Jason Rothberg is the CEO of Xavatar. He has aligned Xavatar with investors, incubators, government grants and spearheaded company growth in Ireland, the home of Xavatar Ltd.  He also conceived the concept and built the framework for what is now The Xavatar show, while serving as host/writer/producer and editor.

In his 30 year career in entertainment, Rothberg has served as a Event Producer, Label Executive, Artist Manager, Music Producer, Music
Supervisor and Filmmaker.  Starting at an early age working under esteemed TV director/producer Steve Binder, writer/actor/producer George McGrath, as well as film and TV producer Lewis Chester. Shifting from TV production to music after his cousin, Lisa Bonet introduced him to musician/actor Lenny Kravitz. Rothberg formed a partnership with Miles Copeland (IRS Records) by the age of 26, which – in turn – resulted in the creation of charity label Lion’s Pride Recordings, where he cut his teeth working with the likes of Green Day, Pennywise, the Vandals, DFL and Joe Strummer.  Lion’s Pride moved to Sony Epic in 1996, where he released music by Ice Cube, Mac 10 & Korn, 311, No Doubt, Silverchair, Rancid and more .  Rothberg also worked hand in hand with icon filmmaker David Lynch on behalf of the David Lynch Foundation to establish the first fully non profit, charity based record label DLFM (aka TM Music), releasing music from Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits, Maroon 5, Alanis Morissette, Iggy Pop, Nancy Sinatra, and more.

Rothberg has managed an array of global names, among them legendary Clash frontman Joe Strummer championing his comeback and signing his deal with Hellcat Epitaph, Andy Summer (The Police) and Rock Hall of Fame inductee Donovan. He is also a formidable event
and concert promoter, producing events inside the UN’s General Assembly Hall, for Hillary Clinton and the state department at the London Olympics (2012) and Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s 85th birthday celebration in collaboration with Quincy Jones to name just a few of his highlights.  The past 10 years has seen Rothberg thrive as an indie film producer and music supervisor.  A lateral thinker, Rothberg has been instrumental in coordinating a slew of collaborations, melding the worlds of film, music, fashion and charity.
